WH Press Secretary Grilled For Controversial Border Remarks

US Border Patrol agents who are living horrors at the southern border, due to rising illegal immigration, slammed White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre for her controversial remarks about the border crisis.

Jean-Pierre claimed illegal immigration is not happening at the US-Mexico border, which sparked outrage from border agents.

White House Out of Touch on Southern Border Crisis

Peter Doocy, Fox News’ White House contributor, asked Jean-Pierre why unvaccinated people who legally want to enter the US are not allowed, while unvaccinated illegal immigrants who want to break into the US are allowed to come to the country.

Responding to this, the press secretary asserted this is not how things are currently working at the border. She added not anyone can just walk into the United States, as the White House has a plan to tackle illegal immigration.

These remarks of the press secretary sparked outrage from frontline Border Patrol agents, who are directly countering the illegal immigration at the southern border.

One border agent accused Jean-Pierre of becoming out of touch with the border situation.

Likewise, another agent noted the secretary has only two reasons to say these types of words: either she is dumb or she thinks Americans are foolish enough to believe everything she says.

In addition to that, one border agent told Fox News Jean-Pierre is blatantly lying, just like Homeland Security secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, as she believes Americans can easily be made fools of using the power of mainstream media.

Some agents claimed the White House officials are unaware of the reality, as they have not visited the southern border in person. Despite rising illegal immigration during his tenure, Biden has yet to visit the border.

One agent asked whether Jean-Pierre herself visited the southern border before making such controversial comments.

Illegal Immigration Numbers Dangerously High With Fiscal Year Yet to End

Furthermore, Jean-Pierre also slammed the Trump administration’s approach to tackling the immigration crisis by building the border wall.

According to her, the incumbent government is properly following the plan to curb the immigration crisis by addressing the root causes of the problem.

Jean-Pierre’s remarks came at a time when migrant encounters have already crossed a whopping two million in this fiscal year, which is set to end on September 30.

July became the fifth consecutive month this year when illegal migrant encounters crossed 200,000.

This is not the first time border agents are openly criticizing the White House for its poor response to illegal immigration.

Earlier this week, the president of the National Border Patrol Council, Brandon Judd, claimed the Biden administration is lying about the illegal immigration issue.

Judd argued the White House is unable to feel the consequences of the drug smuggling at the border, which is killing hundreds of thousands of people.

As illegal immigration is not impacting anyone from the Biden administration directly, the government does not seem to care about the issue at all, Judd added.
