Last Monday night, Tucker Carlson opened his show with a statement claiming that the 2020 election was “rigged” against Trump in “plain view.” He also accused the Democrats of conspiring with the big tech companies and the media to sway the results in Joe Biden’s favor.
These claims by the Fox News host came as a part of a lengthy monologue, hours after Trump took a heavy step backward, admitting his defeat declaring that he is now allowing Biden’s transition to begin.
Carlson, a longtime Trump supporter, added that the 2020 election was “not fair” and that the voting system used by the country was rigged against one candidate and in favor of another, in ways that were “not hidden from view.”

He then reiterated that the 2020 election was not fair and that no honest person would claim that said election was fair.
The top-ranking cable news host then began arguing that the electronic voting system that was used in the election was unreliable and called for a return to hand-counting without the use of the voting machines in the recounting of ballots in some states.
Such argument was made by Carlson a week after he blasted Sidney Powell, an attorney who was disavowed from Trump’s legal team last Sunday for his failure to provide evidence to back up her claims of Dominion Voting Systems – a system to which he claims were used to manipulate to votes to flip them into Biden’s favor.
Carlson said, “you’ve heard a lot over the past few days about the security of our electronic voting machines. And this is a real issue, no matter who raises it or who tries to dismiss it out of hand as a conspiracy theory.”
He further stated that electronic voting does not have the same security as conventional hand counting and that voters could see this obvious fact, which made them nervous.
Carlson went on to say the country is using the said voting system while other countries tried to avoid voting machines because they know it “undermines confidence in democracy.”
These allegations are rooted in Trump’s claims that the voting machines used by Dominion Voting System allegedly deleted 2.7 Million Trump votes throughout the country. However, the firm had vehemently denied such allegation.
Moreover, the Fox News host also claimed that Biden and the Democrat “used” the pandemic to sway the voting system in their favor. To which he added by saying, “They vastly increased the number of mail-in ballots because they knew their candidates would benefit from less secure voting, and they were right.”
“Going forward, we need to find out exactly what happened in this month’s presidential election. We need to find out no matter how long it takes the investigation to unfold or how much it costs.” Carlson implored.
He then stated that once the investigation results are out, they plan to return to the traditional voting system immediately that had been used by the country for hundreds of years. “What we are doing now is not working,” Carlson claimed.
In his closing statement, Carlson said, the Democrats “rigged the election in front of all of us, and nobody did anything about it.”
Trump and his allies have argued that the election was rigged since Election Day. Trump campaign has also been waging a series of legal battles in different battleground states, contesting the election results. However, these legal pursuits were proved fruitless up to date.
The voter fraud allegation is also yet to be proven by Trump’s legal team, which is spearheaded by Rudy Giuliani, his personal attorney.
