While America takes on the coronavirus, more and more people are raising questions. A fair amount of questions pertain to whether or not COVID-19 could’ve been stopped before it reached its current magnitude. This has not only led to speculation about China’s lack of action to stop the virus, but also about steps that America might have been able to take.
Now, in the midst of all this, the left has eagerly pointed the finger at President Trump. However, Democrats quickly forget that during the earlier months of 2020 and even prior to, their focus completely centered around a sham impeachment.
This is a reality which President Trump reminded the press of when questioned about whether or not impeachment distracted himself and his administration from other matters.
Trump on His Attention During Impeachment
When speaking with reporters earlier this week, Trump fielded an interesting question in particular.
This question came from a reporter and asked for the president’s take on prior statements from Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell. The reporter quoted McConnell as claiming that the impeachment sham “diverted” government’s attention before asking if the president and his administration experienced the same diversion.

In response, Trump gave a lengthy reply. The president explained that while he naturally thought of the impeachment process while it was underway, the matter didn’t consume his whole life, being, or existence, unlike Democrats. Furthermore, Trump maintained that his behavior wouldn’t have changed, had the sham impeachment not taken place.
Taking on Coronavirus
The fight to stop the spread of COVID-19 maintains, with President Trump and healthcare professionals at the forefront.
Despite the narrative that leftists are putting out, Trump has taken swift and effective action to stop the spread. Enacting travel restrictions to and from China has prevented many additional cases of coronavirus, as has increasing access to testing, distributing greater amounts of medical supplies to healthcare workers, and more.
As the president works to take on coronavirus, he remains in close operation with the coronavirus task force, Drs. Deborah Birx, Anthony Fauci, and others. Trump and additional officials will continue to update Americans on progress made with daily coronavirus press briefings.
