Last Sunday, President Trump responded to the news that President-elect Joe Biden “injured” his foot while playing with one of his dogs.

Trump tweeted, “Get well soon!”

The tweet was posted in response to the video of Biden limping to his motorcade after he was said to have been treated for what his doctor called as “sprained right ankle from a fall Saturday.”

It was reported that Biden had reportedly hurt himself while he was playing with his dog. He was immediately sent to be evaluated by a medical specialist.

Biden’s official statement was also sent out, which reads, “On Saturday, Nov. 28, President-elect Biden slipped while playing with his dog Major and twisted his ankle. Out of an abundance of caution, he will be examined this afternoon by an orthopedist.”

A day after the said incident, the President-elect visited an orthopedist at Delaware Orthopedic Specialist in Newark, Delaware. Reporters attempted to see Biden enter the doctor’s office. However, despite multiple attempts, they were not allowed.

At 78 years old, Joe Biden is set to be the most senior president in U.S. History.

Dr. Kevin O’ Connor, Joe Biden’s doctor since 2009, released a statement about Biden’s injury stated that Biden “sustained a sprain of his right foot.”

However, the later reports clarified that the President-elect’s injury was more severe than it seems.

The Daily Wire also further reported that Biden’s injuries that stemmed from the fall last Saturday appear to be more severe than they initially. This is based on the new imaging test, which revealed that Biden fractured his foot.

A previous statement by Dr. O’Connor said that Biden sprained his right foot. However, after following up tests, it was revealed that Biden sustained fractures in his foot.

“Follow-up CT scan confirmed hairline (small) fractures of President-elect Biden’s lateral and intermediate cuneiform bones, which are in the mid-foot. It is anticipated that he will likely require a walking boot for several weeks.” Dr. O’Connor said.

He further added that the initial x-rays did not show apparent traces of fracture. However, the clinical exam gave more detailed imaging that revealed the fractures.

Last year, Joe Biden’s health was highlighted in a CNN report. According to Dr. O’Connor, Biden is undergoing treatment for non-valvular atrial fibrillation, or AFid, a condition where a person has an irregular heartbeat. However, O’Connor stated that despite this, Biden is experiencing no symptoms.

However, Biden is already taking several medications intended to address series of conditions, including among those are Crestor, a drug intended to lower cholesterol and triglyceride levels, Eliquis to prevent blood clots, Nexium for acid reflux, Allegra, and a nasal spray for allergies.

Biden also suffered from a Brain Aneurysm.

In addition to this, Dr. O’Connor stated that the most significant medical event that happened to Biden came in 1988 when the President-elect suffered a brain aneurysm. Then while Biden was undergoing surgery, his doctors found a second aneurysm that had not bled, which was also treated.

After the surgery, Biden, who was serving in the Senate at that time, also suffered from deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism. At this point, doctors inserted an “inferior vena cava filter” to prevent future blood clots from reaching his lungs and heart. He was also treated with oral anticoagulation for several months.

Multiple Surgeries

O’Connor also wrote that Biden’s gallbladder was removed in 2003. He also had multiple surgeries and physical treatments for orthopedic injuries and sports medicine.

On top of that, Biden also surgically removed multiple non-melanoma skin cancer lesions, which Dr. O’Connor described, had resulted from Biden’s activities spending a “good deal of time in the sun in his youth.”

The President-elect also had sinus and nasal surgeries.

President-elect’s health conditions are concerning to most and have been a common issue that President Trump criticized throughout the campaign.
