Pelosi Completely Denies Inflation Has a Role to Play in Midterms

Of all the issues that will carry weight in next month’s midterm elections, inflation definitely makes the top of the list.

Growing living costs are caused by Democrats who insist on heavy spending, raising taxes, and otherwise squeezing as much money out of Americans as possible. Because of inflation, interest rates are also through the rooftops, which also strains everyday folks.

Democrats, at the end of the day, don’t want to confront inflation because it’s not politically convenient for them. Therefore, they’re banking on all-out denials saving them in the midterms.

This explains some recent claims made by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi during an interview, as reported by The Hill.

Pelosi on Inflation

During an interview with Face The Nation, the House Speaker said people have to move beyond making inflation a focal point of the upcoming midterms. Instead, Pelosi declared “cost of living” is what the real focus has to be about.

Pelosi, like other Democrats, knows very well that living costs are directly impacted by inflation. In fact, inflation is why rent, mortgages, grocery store bills, utilities, gas prices, etc., are through the rooftops.

Nevertheless, the House Speaker insisted Democrats are hard at work to reduce living costs while Republicans stand in the way. This is demonstrably untrue, however.

What Democrats have been trying to do is pass even more spending bills that will worsen inflation and put the economy in a tighter stranglehold. This is what Republicans are pushing back against.

The Truth About Inflation

Despite Pelosi’s claims, poll after poll shows the American people are very much concerned about inflation. It’s going to determine how they vote in the midterms, which also doesn’t work in Democrats’ favor.

Due to the monumental impact that inflation has on Americans’ lives, there’s no way Pelosi or any other Democrat can simply get people to stop talking about it.

The House Speaker’s comments on Face The Nation have been widely panned as tone-deaf and out of touch with the experiences of the everyday American.

Polling likewise shows that GOP candidates are far more trusted than their Democratic candidates to get a handle on inflation. As it stands right now, Republicans have made it clear they will work to lower costs for the public.

Democrats, on the other hand, are just trying to convince Americans that more and more spending is the route to go. The nation can’t afford this, however, which is why electing Republicans in November is going to be absolutely critical.
