Despite what Democrats would like to believe, protests against COVID-19 shutdowns are making a difference.
Thousands of Americans have rallied and are planning to rally against senseless stay home orders that are crushing millions of jobs, businesses, and livelihoods. The cure cannot be worse than the problem and in light of coronavirus’ over 90% recovery rate with eight of ten cases being moderate/mild, it’s pretty safe to say that we shouldn’t throw our nation into a recession or depression.
We have a plan to start opening Ohio back up. It's going to be gradual- one thing after another. We want to do this in a thoughtful way that engenders confidence and ensures customers and employees are safe.

This week and last week, Ohio residents took to the streets and demanded their governor to lift the stay home order. Now, reports from Breitbart News document Gov. DeWine’s promise to begin reopening the state by May 1, 2020.
The Latest from Ohio Gov. DeWine
DeWine, who previously talked about life not returning to normal without a vaccine, appears to have walked back this rhetoric.
I am an optimist and am confident that Ohioans will also live up to the challenge of doing things differently as we open back up beginning on May 1st.

In yesterday’s press conference, the Ohio governor declared that he will “fight” equally as hard to restore the economy and save lives. DeWine also professed that Ohio has to “get this right” and explained that certain aspects of workplace environments will change to continue halting the spread of coronavirus.
The Power of Protest
Now, more than ever, it is important for Americans to continue protesting lockdowns, stay-at-home orders, and shelter-in-place mandates. There are some people looking to make the most of this crisis and keep shutdowns going for 12-18 months and even into 2022.
Coronavirus cannot be used as an excuse for government to trample all over the inherent rights and liberties of being American. We can’t just sit around with our palms out, waiting for government to dole out money; just yesterday, the Payment Protection Program for small businesses ran out. This is what happens when you have millions of people not working and then seeking government handouts.
The hysteria and insanity surrounding COVID-19 must end. The cure cannot be worse than the problem.
