On August 7, ex-President Trump made a suggestion he would run for president once more in 2024, but refrained from making a formal announcement.
In His Own Words
Trump remarked, “It’s not a lengthy stretch, if you go before or after, definitely not a very long length of time,” in answer to a reporter’s inquiry on whether he should declare his bid before or after the 2022 midterms.
“It’s approaching, and I believe people will be delighted,” added Trump.
“A situation like this has never existed in our nation. Everything was lost. Energy independence has been lost. We are no longer respected. Every single thing you can lose has been lost,” claimed Trump.
“We’ll therefore be announcing something soon, I’m afraid.”

When the same issue was posed to the former president early this year in an interview with the media, Trump said he wasn’t sure whether to make the announcement before or after the midterm elections.
Before hitting the platform at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Dallas, Texas, Trump made the comments on Saturday.
In a usual straw poll conducted before the president’s CPAC talk, 69% of participants said they would support him as the GOP contender for president in 2024.
Ron DeSantis, the Republican governor of Florida, came in second and received 24% of the vote.
Trump attacked Democratic policies in the lengthy address, specifically criticizing Sens. Joe Manchin and Kyrsten Sinema for supporting a new $739 billion budget resolution that heavily funds the left’s “green” program.
Because they supported the legislation, which Democrats dubbed the “Inflation Reduction Act,” Trump prophesied Manchin, as well as Sinema, will lose their congressional seats.
He claimed the plan would merely make already-high inflation worse.
Trump’s Record
“We had the most thriving economy in global history. No one had any inflation,” according to Trump.
In 2024, Sinema and Manchin will face reelection. Trump was elected by West Virginia in 2020 by a margin of about 39 points. He went on to lose in Arizona, but he still believes fraud and problems with the voting process may have affected the result.
Trump put forth a number of policy ideas, including dismantling the U.S. Department of Education and giving some drug dealers the death penalty.

The only nations without a drug issue in the world, according to Trump, are those that implemented the death sentence for drug dealers.
The president promised to make communities safer and re-secure the borders in statements that sounded a lot like many of his campaign speeches.
Republicans, according to him, will concentrate their efforts on apprehending and expelling illegal immigrants who poured into the nation after Joe Biden undid several of Trump’s immigration initiatives.
Trump declared, “We will either send you back to the location from which you came or instantly put you in prison.”
