White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany criticized Attorney General William Barr for failure to inform Congress that Hunter Biden is under investigation by the Justice Department during the presidential election.
On Monday, the White House press secretary defended President Trump for his criticism over William Barr due to his failure to report to the Congress about Hunter Biden’s investigation by the Justice Department.
In an interview with Fox & Friends, President Trump said, “All he had to do is say an investigation is going on.” He also added, “Joe Biden lied on the debate stage he said there’s nothing happening, nothing happening, and William Barr should have stepped up,”
Why didn’t Bill Barr reveal the truth to the public, before the Election, about Hunter Biden. Joe was lying on the debate stage that nothing was wrong, or going on – Press confirmed. Big disadvantage for Republicans at the polls!

President Trump continued and stated, “But when you affect an election … when they are saying things, making statements and the press is purposely not reporting it, William Barr, I believe, not believe I know, had an obligation to set the record straight.”
The President also compared Attorney General William Barr to special counsel Robert Mueller who disputed BuzzFeed’s report in 2019, saying that Trump directed Michael Cohen to lie to Congress.
In relation to this, McEnany said in an interview with Fox News, “President Trump’s exactly right, and his analogy could not be more appropriate to Robert Mueller who, in a rare move, came out and said that this BuzzFeed story is just not true.”
The White House press secretary also slammed the media for ignoring the New York Post’s story last October, revealing series of scandals of Hunter Biden. Including among them is how Hunter Biden introduced to his father, President-elect Joe Biden, a top executive at Burisma, a Ukrainian energy company.
McEnany said, “When you have one of the nation’s largest newspapers banned from Twitter. When you have entities like the New York Times calling the Hunter Biden information, Russia misinformation, ironically the same publication that [won] Pulitzers on Russia disinformation,”
She continued and said, “And when they’re out there saying this, and it’s been echoed across every single airwave, except Fox, I would point out, you have an obligation to come out because you are affecting an election by not coming out and saying that this investigation exists and is not, in fact, Russia misinformation,”

Furthermore, the White House press secretary spoke about how President Trump was left exasperated. She said that the President is frustrated about how William Barr failed to report Hunter Biden’s scandal to Congress. McEnany also noted how the President is very public about his frustrations with the Attorney General.
The White House Press Secretary said, “[President Trump] He’s very public about it, and the country was misled unfortunately by a number of news outlets, saying that this was a fact-free conspiracy theory.”
McEnany also emphasized how she had seen the media suppress the issue, mainly when Trump had an interview with Leslie Stahl where Stahl did not allow President Trump to talk about the Hunter Biden scandal. “All along the facts were there, it was ignored, and, unfortunately, the attorney general didn’t come out,” McEnany said.
The media is now reporting that a subpoena seeking documents from Hunter Biden covers more than two dozen entities, including Burisma. The most surprising fact is the first four words "the media is now reporting." https://t.co/Dv8oDetOZM
