On last week’s press briefing, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany targeted Democratic politicians who imposed harsh lockdown restrictions to the public but then acted in contrast with their own guidelines.
McEnany stated, “Democrats seek to control… Rules for thee, but not for me.”

The White House Press Secretary also added that The Constitution also matters even during a pandemic, saying that while the Democrat politicians were imposing “draconian restrictions” against their people, the Supreme Court had their say on the New York State’s capacity restrictions.
The Supreme Court of the United States did not allow New York to restrict the government-deemed essential businesses. In the ruling, Justice Gorsuch said, “It is time, past time, to make plain that while the pandemic poses many grave challenges, there is no world in which the Constitution tolerated color-coded executive edicts that reopen liquor stores and bike shops, but shutter churches, synagogues, and mosques.”
McEnany then referenced video images playing behind her, showing Democrats’ “hypocrisy” on the loop.
Including among them were images of California Governor Gavin Newsom, dining with 22 people, maskless, indoors, at a fancy restaurant in Napa, despite previously imposed one of the most severe lockdown restrictions against indoor dining for all of the American people he governs. They McEnany showed images of Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who was celebrating in the non-socially distant streets in her city.

Video footage of Speaker Nancy Pelosi was also highlighted in the press briefing. She was seen at an indoor hair salon in San Francisco, maskless, even though California’s hair salons were restricted to outdoor services only.
Images of CNN Chris Cuomo were also shown in the press briefing. He allegedly staged his emergence from quarantine in what McEnany called, “made-for-television moment,” coming out of the basement. However, he was previously spotted breaking quarantine protocols when Cuomo was seen riding a bike in the Hamptons.
Another notable democrat is San Francisco Mayor London Breed, who also dined at the fancy restaurant in Napa with a group of at least eight persons. Lastly, County Supervisor in Los Angeles, Sheila Kuehl, was also shown dining outdoors at a restaurant in Santa Monica after voting to forbid outdoor dining to over 31,000 restaurants throughout Los Angeles.

The White House Press Secretary then bluntly stated, “Quite clearly, these Democrats do not follow their own edicts.”
“They act in a way that their own citizens are barred from acting,” she said, adding that the highest court in the land rebuked Governor Cuomo’s decision to impose restrictions on the size of religious gatherings of showing deference to the Constitution. He attacked the legitimacy of the court.”
She then quoted what the California Governor stated, Newsom said to quote: “You have a different court, and I think that was the statement that the court was making. We know who he appointed to the courts. We know their ideology.”
McEnany then that the Justices on the Supreme Court who decided to support the First Amendment are in favor of freedom, and again emphasized that the Constitution still survives during this time of a pandemic.
The White House Press Secretary concluded the press briefing by saying that Governor Cuomo’s statement “strikes at the hear of the issue” and that the Democrats seek to control. She also added that President Trump stands with the American people, their freedom, and their ability to decide what is best for them to protect their health.
McEnany also added that the American people know how to protect themselves from the virus.
