On Tuesday, President-elect Joe Biden made it clear that he is still in denial about his son’s shady business dealings and that the ongoing probe against Hunter is “Russan misinformation.” He also called a reporter “one-horse pony” after asking for a comment on the ongoing probe.

After walking off the stage after a press conference in Wilmington, Delaware, Joe Biden was asked by Fox News if he still agrees that The New York Post’s story about the contents of his son’s laptop was “Russian misinformation.” This question was asked in the wake of reports stating that some of the laptop’s emails were part of the federal probe.

Biden responded, “Yes, yes, yes. God love you, man. You are a one horse pony, I tell you.”

During the press conference on Tuesday, President-elect Joe Biden was pressed on the issue of whether or not he had already spoken with potential candidates and his team with regard to the investigation involving his son’s business dealings.

“No, no, I guarantee you I’m going to do what I said,” Biden responded. He then added, “The attorney general of the United States of America is not the president’s lawyer. I will appoint someone I expect to enforce the law as the law is written, not guided by me.”

Compared to Joe Biden’s recent predecessors, who had all selected their attorney general nominee at this point in the transition, Joe Biden is yet to appoint a person who will fill the crucial cabinet role. He, later on, said that he is still “working through it.” Biden also told reporters that there was still no obvious choice in his mind.

Meanwhile, Attorney General Bill Bar is set to leave the job on Wednesday. Earlier this week, the outgoing attorney general stated that he felt there was no need to designate a special prosecutor that will support and look into Hunter Biden’s affairs.

Despite this statement, a number of Republican allies and lawmakers have called for a special counsel who will continue to investigate the scandal of Joe Biden’s son as he enters the White House.

Earlier this month, Hunter Biden gave a statement confirming that he is under federal investigation allegedly due to tax fraud. However, reports have shown that the issue is deeper than what was stated by the younger Biden as angles of money laundering were being looked at.

Republican senator Tom Cotton (R-Ark) particularly calls for a special counsel to investigate the case, as the senator suspected that the tax fraud statement that Hunter gave was the “least damaging” allegation against Joe Biden’s son. He also added that the Justice Department should move and appoint a special counsel before Joe Biden is sworn into office on January 20.

Sen. Cotton told Fox News, “The Biden campaign released details of a tax fraud investigation in Wilmington. I think that was just to show maybe the least damaging part of the investigation.”

The Republican senator added that there are allegations of money laundering and securities fraud related to Hunter Biden’s Chinese businesses. On top of that, a shady hospital deal by Jim Biden, Joe’s brother, is also under investigation in western Pennsylvania. Cotton said, “These investigations span multiple jurisdictions.”

Cotton continued, “If Joe Biden becomes president, then all those prosecutors are in line to be fired next month. If there were ever circumstances that create a conflict of interest and call for a special counsel, that’s here.”

In October, The Post revealed the emails of Hunter Biden and his business associates. The correspondence showed how HunterBiden is trying to land lucrative deals in Ukraine and China in exchange of his famous father’s influence. In some cases, Joe Biden was involved directly.
