In Florida, Democrat Charlie Crist has been running an absolutely horrible campaign to be the next governor.
Crist continues to take shots at not just Gov. Ron DeSantis, but also the supporters of the incumbent GOP governor.
According to the Florida Democrat, he’s got zero interest in the votes of DeSantis supporters. DeSantis, on the other hand, recently welcomed an endorsement from Democratic commissioner Dave Kerner.
Crist doesn’t seem to understand that he can’t run a campaign for governor in Florida as he would in California or another left-wing stronghold. However, those around Crist look to be reading the writing on the wall.
This is why the Florida Democrat’s campaign manager just cut ties with him, as documented by Breitbart News.
A Major Blow to Crist’s Campaign
Austin Durrer is parting ways as the campaign manager of Crist. Because of “family matters,” Durrer’s replacement will be former Crist aide Sydney Throop. Throop’s worked with Crist in other capacities before his current run for governor.
The loss of his campaign manager comes as Crist struggles with the optics of his efforts to become Florida’s next governor. While DeSantis was on the ground and collaborating with first responders in the wake of Hurricane Ian, Crist was asking supporters for campaign donations.
I’ve never seen this happen 20 days before an election. I hope he is OK. 🙏🏼 https://t.co/T8wGHbsLK1

Moreover, the policies that Crist is campaigning upon read as though he’s running to be governor of a leftist state, rather than a state where GOP voters now outnumber Democratic ones to the tune of about 300,000.
Crist also isn’t doing himself or his campaign any favors by repeatedly trashing DeSantis and his supporters as “evil.”
Game Over
In addition to Crist’s campaign falling apart, he’s also not even coming close to competing with DeSantis in the polls.
The incumbent governor leads Crist by double digits and has consistently maintained a comfortable lead. As an added bonus, DeSantis’ campaign raised a record $100 million for the Florida gubernatorial election, an amount far greater than the cash Crist has on hand.
The democrat vote by mail figures are abysmal, Republicans have an advantage of 300,000 voter registrations, & you’re unable to fundraise against the juggernaut that is Governor DeSantis.
Florida is winnable — for Republicans.

With less than three weeks left until Election Day, most folks can see that it is game over for Crist. All empirical data and information about this election and Florida favors DeSantis, not Crist.
Why Florida Democrats believed Crist would even come close to giving DeSantis a run for his money is a mystery. Nevertheless, the Florida governor is well on his way to winning another term to continue his leadership of the state.
Crist, on the other hand, would do well to start preparing his concession speech.
