Governor Doug Ducey of Arizona started a building project intended to fill in some of the holes in the federal boundary fortifications.
The measure comes after similar ones made by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott in reaction to the Biden administration’s revisions to migration and border control policy.
The Details
Governor Ducey announced the commencement of projects to build physical boundaries in border fence breaches along the Arizona-Mexico border in a tweet on Friday. Shipment containers with welded closures were started for placement.
According to Ducey, four feet of razor wire will be placed on top of the double-stacked shipping containers. The end product will be a 22-foot-tall, almost 9,000-pound barrier.
A $564 million budget measure that the governor signed into law in June is what pays for the construction.
In reaction to the border crisis the federal government caused, the law allocates funding to pay for physical barriers, extra public safety personnel, more technology, and public safety equipment.

In a signing statement in June, Governor Ducey stated “President Biden’s inaction has resulted in the greatest border crisis in more than 20 years.”
“We’ve taken several actions to bring order to the situation, such as sending the Arizona National Guard, passing legislation to deal with human smuggling, and sending migrants to Washington, D.C. on a volunteer basis.”
Ultimately, the federal government is in charge of guarding our border, said Ducey. The steps in Arizona come after identical ones that Governor Greg Abbott took in Texas.
The Texas governor launched Operation Lone Star to erect border walls, send out more National Guard troops and DPS officers, and start transporting migrants to New York and Washington, D.C.
Death on the Border
According to unconfirmed U.S. Customs and Border Protection statistics seen by Breitbart Texas, as many as 670 migrants died while or after entering the U.S.-Mexico Border in “horrific” circumstances.
The record-breaking figure was announced at the same time that Governor Abbott’s decision to transport migrants in air-conditioned buses was dubbed “horrendous” by New York City Mayor Eric Adams.

According to the information given to Breitbart Texas by a representative of US Customs and Immigration, more than 670 migrants perished in Fiscal Year 2022.
According to the source, the fiscal year started on October 1, 2021 and the report is due in the week.
60 percent of the more than 670 fatalities were caused by exposure and drowning. Although the reasons for an additional 10% of the fatalities were found, they lacked clarity.

“If you think about our country, a nation that has always been welcoming to individuals who were escaping persecution, what the government of Texas has done is unthinkable.”
